Understanding Fees

Every Popdex buy and sell pays a minimum 1% fee, denominated in USDC.

Popdex calculates fees from the full transaction value before any fee is deducted. On a buy, the fee is deducted from the user’s USDC input. On a sell, the fee is withheld from the user’s USDC output.

Base buy fee = 1%
Base sell fee = 1%

During the Bonding phase, every buy and sell pays the 1% base fee. The entire fee is paid to the Popdex Treasury.

After Graduation, Bonded buys continue to pay the 1% base fee. Bonded sells also remain at 1% when projected post-trade Buzz is 90 or higher. If a sell would move projected Buzz below 90, the fee may increase based on the size of the order. During the first 24 hours after a Buzz Reset, an additional protection component may also apply. The total Bonded sell fee cannot exceed 33%.

Maximum Bonded sell fee = 33%

For PostGrad v3 pools, the liquidity portion of swap fees is divided between regular LPs and eligible Buzz Guard positions: regular LP is capped at 21% APR; Buzz Guard cap is 28%. These caps are maximums, not guaranteed returns.

Adding or removing ordinary liquidity does not incur a swap fee. Buzz Guard deposits, where available, pay a 1% deposit fee from the gross USDC deposit amount.

Popdex calculates protocol fees in microUSDC and rounds fractional fees up to the smallest transferable USDC unit. Solana network fees, account setup costs, wallet fees, or other third-party costs are separate and may still apply even if a transaction fails.
