Popdex is experimental crypto software currently in early-access testing. The intended public launch status is Mainnet Beta on Solana.
Before connecting a wallet, trading, or providing liquidity, understand the risks below.
This page is not a complete list of every possible risk. It is a plain-language starting point.
Experimental software risk
Popdex features may be incomplete, unavailable, inaccurate, interrupted, restricted, or changed.
Markets, quotes, liquidity actions, Buzz, charts, transaction flows, and wallet interactions may fail or behave differently than expected.
Do not use Popdex with assets you cannot afford to lose.
Wallet risk
Popdex is non-custodial.
That means Popdex does not hold your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet credentials. You approve transactions through your own wallet.
You are responsible for:
- securing your wallet;
- verifying the Popdex URL;
- reviewing wallet prompts;
- checking token amounts;
- checking the network;
- rejecting suspicious transactions;
- keeping your seed phrase private.
Popdex cannot recover your seed phrase, restore lost keys, or reverse wallet-approved transactions.
Transaction risk
Blockchain transactions may fail, be delayed, or become irreversible after submission or confirmation.
A transaction may fail because:
- the quote expired;
- the market moved;
- slippage protection rejected the result;
- liquidity was insufficient;
- wallet approval failed;
- network or RPC services failed;
- the market phase changed;
- transaction validation became stale.
You may still be responsible for network fees, account setup costs, wallet fees, or other costs even when a transaction fails.
Market risk
Attention assets are experimental.
They may have no value, low liquidity, high volatility, incomplete markets, misleading metadata, or limited utility.
A market’s name, symbol, Buzz, Price, Graduation status, or chart does not mean the market is safe or suitable for you.
Liquidity risk
Providing liquidity can result in losses.
LP positions may be affected by price movement, reserve changes, low volume, low liquidity, failed removals, other LP activity, smart-contract bugs, and market imbalance.
Popdex does not guarantee LP yield, rewards, profit, fees, liquidity, redemption, or the ability to remove liquidity at a specific time or value.
Data delay and staleness risk
Popdex market data may be indexed, cached, delayed, rounded, estimated, stale, incorrect, or inconsistent with final execution.
This includes:
- Buzz;
- Price;
- Last Reset;
- Liquidity;
- Graduation Progress;
- charts;
- activity;
- quote previews;
- transaction status.
Live-chain execution determines the final transaction outcome.
Third-party risk
Popdex may rely on or interact with third-party services, including wallets, blockchain networks, token programs, RPC providers, validators, block explorers, indexers, hosting providers, browser extensions, and other tools.
Third-party services can fail, delay, display incorrect information, charge fees, restrict access, or become unavailable.
No advice
Popdex does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or trading advice.
Nothing on Popdex should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, swap, provide liquidity, remove liquidity, or take any other action.
You are responsible for your own decisions and should consult your own advisers if needed.
No guarantees
Popdex does not guarantee:
- transaction success;
- market availability;
- price;
- liquidity;
- Buzz accuracy;
- chart accuracy;
- token value;
- LP returns;
- yield;
- rewards;
- audit status;
- security;
- uninterrupted service;
- legal or tax treatment.
