What is Popdex?

Popdex is an attention-market product.

An attention market is a market built around attention: interest in a project, creator, community, token, narrative, or experiment. Popdex gives users a way to discover attention assets, view market signals, preview trades, and, where supported, provide liquidity.

The goal is to make attention easier to read through public market activity. Popdex prices attention assets in USDC.

What is an attention asset?

An attention asset is the asset traded in a Popdex market.

An attention asset may be connected to a project, creator, community, narrative, or other market theme. Attention assets are experimental and may be volatile, illiquid, or have no value.

An attention asset does not automatically represent equity, ownership, revenue rights, dividends, guaranteed utility, or future rewards.

What can users do on Popdex?

Depending on the market and current release status, Popdex may let you:

• browse attention markets;
• view market information such as Buzz, USDC-denominated Price, Liquidity, Last Reset, Graduation Progress, and token address;
• open a market page;
• connect a supported wallet;
• preview a buy or sell;
• approve a transaction in your wallet;
• track transaction status;
• provide or remove liquidity in Bonded markets where liquidity actions are supported.

Some features may be unavailable, experimental, limited to certain markets, or changed over time.

Popdex market phases

A Popdex market has a simple lifecycle:

1. A market starts in the Bonding phase.
2. If it reaches Graduation, it transitions through Graduation.
3. After Graduation, the market becomes Bonded.

A market in the Bonding phase and a Bonded market are different states.

Bonding phase means the market is still before Graduation.
Bonded means the market has already graduated.

Popdex is non-custodial

Popdex does not hold your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet credentials.

When you use Popdex, you connect your own wallet and approve transactions through that wallet. You are responsible for reviewing the transaction details before signing, including token amounts, minimum output, network information, and any wallet warnings.

Never share your seed phrase or private key with Popdex, support, or anyone else.

Popdex is experimental

Popdex is currently in early-access testing. The intended public launch status is Mainnet Beta on Solana. Popdex markets, quotes, liquidity, Buzz, charts, and transaction flows are experimental.

A quote can fail. Market data can be stale. Liquidity may be limited. Wallet-approved transactions may fail and may be irreversible once submitted or confirmed.

Use Popdex only if you understand the risks.
